Quests - What is your favorite color?

Sunday, May 18th, 2003

Sometimes I have trouble with finding what I’m looking for online, if you don’t exactly know what keywords to put into your favorite search engine, your results can get pretty interesting. I’m trying to remember the name of a rap group from the late 80’s, because I think they had a song, hit song, that [...]

Downloading MP3’s

Thursday, May 15th, 2003

Had an interesting experience today, a colleague said they download MP3’s using one of the file sharing networks, but they only download music they already own on other formats, ie: 8-track tapes, cassettes, vinyl … hmmm, shouldn’t that be totally legal since you do own the music already?
Follow up on last night … The @#%$^ [...]

Atkins & Me

Wednesday, May 14th, 2003

Mmmmm eggs & sausage … until that is, the twentieth day in a row … ugh, eggs and sausage again … salads for lunch, gettin’ a little old, I don’t usually mind dinner, a couple cheese burgers - no buns of course - or hot dogs, or steak .. yummy. So far I’ve lost like [...]

What The American Flag Stands For

Monday, May 12th, 2003

Ever since I started equating Patriotism with Nationalism in my mind, and started thinking about the indoctrination of school children via the pledge of allegiance, and the flag in general, and how the right-wing zealots have turned it into a divisive symbol instead of a symbol of unity, I’ve thought about how I could put [...]

Global Chilling?

Monday, May 12th, 2003

Damn! it’s cold … and windy as Dorothy’s Kansas in the Wizard of Oz … bought a NOAA Weather Radio this weekend to warn us to head to the basement before we find ourselves twirling around and having visions of old women on bicycles saying things like “and you’re little dog too”…
Spent yesterday at my [...]

I’ve been to the mountain

Thursday, May 8th, 2003

And now I’m back - from Redmond that is… and although I was really looking forward to the trip for months, it was kind of a let down.
We stayed in Bellevue, instead of Seattle (mistake no. 1), flying on Northwest, can you fit any more seats in this plane? Picture the buses used in third [...]

myPod

Friday, May 2nd, 2003

I’m now the proud owner of one of the new iPods … went to my Apple Store and bought it tonight… it’s such a work of art. Got my free poster and T-shirt too… :)

I’m so excited to finally have one of these things, and just in time for my trip! Now I can finish [...]

  • Quoted

My message is the practice of compassion, love and kindness. Compassion can be put into practice if one recognizes the fact that every human being is a member of humanity and the human family regardless of differences in religion, culture, color and creed. Deep down there is no difference. — Tenzin Gyatso
