Four-Eyes, Sore Eyes

Last January I had my annual eye exam, and my new prescription was only slightly different in one eye then it was the year before, and since I wasn’t really feeling any problems, The Doctor and I figured there was no need to get new glasses or a new lens for that matter. Well for the last couple weeks I’ve been noticing that I’m doing a lot of eye rubs, and just taking my glasses off to give my eyes a rest. Today was really bad, I had such a headache that I came home from work early. The only relief I could get was to close my eyes and that doesn’t help with work.We went out shopping tonight, Charlie wants a little artificial Christmas tree for the foyer, so I thought while we were out we’d stop by the mall and see about getting some new lenses in my old frames at the 1 hour place.Well, the lenses were going to cost over 200 dollars (more than I wanted to spend). We have a new vision plan at work that I signed up for, but it doesn’t kick in until after the new year, and since I’m due for another eye exam in January, these might be temporary to say the least. So I’m trying to rationalize it, and thinking I can try and wait until January, or if the headaches don’t go away, forget the vision plan, and shop for some new glasses, get the new lenses with the nearly year old prescription, and get contacts with the vision plan instead of new glasses.Maybe the glasses aren’t what caused my headache today, the weather has been rainy nasty all day, and that might have something to do with it. Stay tuned.
