T minus 99 Days and Counting, to Victory!

Well the Democrats are having their convention this week in Boston, and we both wish we were there … It’s exciting to get a positive vision for our country again.Work has been crazy, Windows 2003 Server is causing my hair to go grey… I swear I know that’s the cause ;)Went out for a nice walk today after lunch, the rain held off long enough to get it in, since Charlie was working from home today, I brought my iPod along, and listened to George Michael’s new album Patience, I love the song “Flawless (go to the city)” Flawless (Go to the City). Watching the convention, they played “Everyday People” the Sly & The Family Stone classic, with the line in the chorus “Different Strokes for Different Folks…” another fun song, so I went out to the iTunes music store to purchase it, and was suprised to find that there weren’t that many remakes of it (you know how much I love remakes), so I ended up getting the classic version. I’m trying to think who I’d like to have a remake of this classic tune performed by, hmmm maybe The Polyphonic Spree or The Black Eyed Peas?

My message is the practice of compassion, love and kindness. Compassion can be put into practice if one recognizes the fact that every human being is a member of humanity and the human family regardless of differences in religion, culture, color and creed. Deep down there is no difference. — Tenzin Gyatso
