Second 5K down

It was brisk this morning, my nipples are sore, Charlie’s hands froze waiting for me to finish the race … but he was able to get some action shots ;) Thanks again for supporting me and enduring the elements this morning Honey!!

Unfortunately, the battery in his camera wasn’t fully charged, but he was able to get several shots including this lovely one showing my shorts riding up with wear … oh well, guess I should have invested in some tights … but it was the pumpkin run and I felt orange shorts were in order so … I guess I live with the pictures. It was really cold at first this morning, but after about 5 minutes, it wasn’t bad at all. The course was very scenic, had a hill that seemed to go on forever at about the one mile mark … otherwise, it was rolling terrain, up and down, over the river and through the woods … back over the river and through the tunnel, and into the stadium, and around the track.

All in all, I had a great time, and improved my time by about 30 seconds over my first 5K finish too!

Learned that I need to get some cold weather gear, some gloves, maybe a hat, and definitely some better shorts.
