Running

After Apple’s iTunes added Podcasts, I found a few that I wanted to listen to and see if they would be of interest. One that I started listening to was the RunCast Weekly. Since I was just getting back into running after having dropped off from it for several months. The first episode I listened to was a basics of running, and the one thing I got out of it was to slow my run down so that I could hold a conversation while running. This one little piece of advice, has made my runs much more enjoyable. I’m now running around 12 miles a week, I feel better, and the runs don’t take everything out of me. After a few months, I figure my lungs will be in better shape, and I’ll be able to speed up a little. Running was always one of the things I missed when I was a smoker.I’ve signed up for two of the three 5K races I ran last year, the ReRunOhio 5K in September, and the Delaware Pumpkin Run 5K in October. I had signed up for the Run for Pride 5K sponsored by Stonewall during Gay Pride month, but hadn’t been running, and decided I wasn’t ready to run the race. Hopefully that’ll be the last time I skip a race I’ve registered for due to not being prepared. While I will strive to better my times from last year, I run for me… running does a body good ;)Any other runners out there? Send me an email.
