Race For Hope

Ran the Race for Hope this morning, the race is a fundraiser for cancer research and is a memorial race for a woman that died two years ago from cancer. I just found out a couple weeks ago that a guy at work has cancer, and it doesn’t sound like he’s doing too well. He’s about my age, and although I didn’t plan to run this race, the cause combined with the thought that I’m able to this, while he and many others are not, motivated me to get up and run this morning. The race was nice, course was an out and back, along the Scioto river, finished about 10 seconds slower than the ReRun - at 28:25, thought I was doing better than that during the race, but oh well.Just need to keep running … thinking about training for a marathon.Next race is in two weeks - the Delaware Pumpkin Run 5K.
