It’s my birthday, not for real-real, just for play-play

I got a puppy .. he’s the most adorable puppy ever, seriously, he’s so cute and wonderful when he’s sleeping you wouldn’t believe it. His name is Rocky and he’s a 12 week old boxer mix breed neutered male that we picked up from the Delaware Animal Shelter.

He’s a playful boy, and he’s teething, so I’ve got little baby dog bites all over my hands and arms … we picked up a rope tuggy toy and had him playing tug of war with it yesterday. Today he thinks the leash is a longer version of the tuggie toy. A chain leash seems to be in order now to break that habit.

I took him up the street for a walk, at the end our quiet drive, I used the pack leader techniques I saw on the Dog Whisperer to tell him not to pass out in the busy road. Worth a try, if ever gets loose, don’t want getting hit by a car on Dublin Road.

See … I told you he was cute …
