This being my first version upgrade of Wordpress since I transitioned to it from MovableType earlier this year, I have to say that I was a little apprehensive reading the warnings about making sure you have a backup - and having a little trepidation since I’ve done a bunch of custom stuff - including creating [...]

I’ve pretty much worn the same hair style for… oh a long long time now - don’t make me quantify it with a number. It’s just so much easier to deal with hair when you don’t have much of it to deal with. The grey creeps in quicker these days, and I [...]

Sharing a brief email I sent to the Obama campaign this morning:
The Rev. Wright controversy - really should be an illustration of Senator Obama’s beliefs of being fellow Americans first and foremost - despite our differences. We can disagree, yet remain friends, and share the common American dreams for ourselves, our families, and our [...]

Turned 42 this past weekend, had lunch at Gordon Biersch with Charlie and some friends before watching some of the Ohio Junior Jackets vs. Waterloo Black Hawks hockey game at Nationwide Arena.
Later that night we went to the BlueJackets / Red Wings game and watched them lose - sat in front of some jackass Red [...]

A technical issue has been driving me nuts lately, my Macbook Pro will suddenly shut itself off while I’m running on battery power, even though the battery meter will show that there is plenty of life left in the battery. No warning message, nothing.
Sometimes as much as 40%+ When it powers off, it’s not [...]

It’s melting … the snow that is, and it’s almost time to get the motorcycle out - after all the price of gasoline isn’t getting any lower … ugh. The weather was beautiful today - but I was stuck in training all day - although the trainer took us all out for Mexican food for [...]

There is no honorable way you will be the party nominee, the time has come for you to suspend your campaign. Stop trying to hand the election to Senator McCain and start to repair the tear that you and your supporters have ripped in the Democratic party.
Senator Obama has the opportunity for a landslide election [...]

So the day starts out all nice and normal, and I didn’t get stuck in the driveway with the remaining snow on the road as I trekked to my training this morning.
And then it shows up this afternoon, on the overhead projector in the class, during a break, the instructor is surfing the news sites [...]

Had fun shooting some footage of the snow and Rocky yesterday with the new Sony camcorder - I took some screen captures for this montage - still figuring out how to clip the movies in iMovie to create a little youtube-ish video for the blog.
Shoveling has been a pain in the back, and more to [...]

Yee ha! The snow has been falling almost all day - it did let up this evening, but is supposed to resume falling overnight. Mind you it’s nothing like we used to get back in Western New York, but I’ll take it. And to call it a Blizzard is a pretty big stretch in my [...]
