Macbook Pro sudden power off

A technical issue has been driving me nuts lately, my Macbook Pro will suddenly shut itself off while I’m running on battery power, even though the battery meter will show that there is plenty of life left in the battery. No warning message, nothing.
Sometimes as much as 40%+ When it powers off, it’s not like it goes to sleep mode, it’s off - and I lose anything I was working on that I didn’t already save.
I did some searching and found an article that told me to delete the BatteryUpdater.bundle file if it was version 1.3 - reboot, and run Software Update - which I did, and it installed version 1.2 of the Battery Update.
So now I’m keeping my digits crossed hoping it solves the issue - but saving my work frequently.

Update: UGH! That didn’t work - it just shut down - so I plugged the power adapter in - and reboot, the battery meter tells me 45% and 1:15 left - this is really annoying!!!
