Oh my Dog!
The week has been an interesting one. My little four pawed friend found the poison meant for the four pawed rodents and decided it might be fun to chew and eat. Fortunately I found him munching on it before he had a chance to consume too much of it. But calls to the emergency veterinary clinic lead to a call to Lowe’s to determine the active ingredient in the poison. Bromadiolone for the record. So a call back to the clinic, they told me to go ahead and induce vomiting with 3.5 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide.
You have not lived until you’ve induced your pet to vomit. I have pictures, that I took that I thought I would share with you gentle readers, but decided against it. If you’re a vomit connoisseur you can email me and I’ll gladly send them to you. Three barfs later, I’m on the phone with my vet’s office repeating the tales of the morning, and setting up an appointment for him to get a vitamin K shot. Hours and money later, my dog is happy and appears healthy, and I’m going back to traps instead of poison

Yes he’s doing well thanks, still have to get final tests to make sure he’s all better, probably next week. Rocky is a mixed breed dog - a boxer mix with something else.
