I was excited to find the Wordpress app finally in the app store for my new iPhone. While it’s not the easiest way to enter new blog entries, it does a very nice job of what it does. Blogging on the go, when you’ve got something that you want to blog about and time [...]

This being my first version upgrade of Wordpress since I transitioned to it from MovableType earlier this year, I have to say that I was a little apprehensive reading the warnings about making sure you have a backup - and having a little trepidation since I’ve done a bunch of custom stuff - including creating [...]

Had fun shooting some footage of the snow and Rocky yesterday with the new Sony camcorder - I took some screen captures for this montage - still figuring out how to clip the movies in iMovie to create a little youtube-ish video for the blog.
Shoveling has been a pain in the back, and more to [...]

Moving back in after all these months, dusting off the old entries, and moving to Wordpress from Movabletype - some archive stuff might not appear correctly yet - give me a few days to get them updated - and the template tweaked to style and formatting.

Trying to reignite my blogging … have been thinking lately about lowering the curtain on this site.In thinking about it, I came across a quote, which I can’t find now that I want to write about it - but it was something along the lines of how people who don’t break the rules, don’t make [...]

The dealer [...]

So Queer as Folk is ending, as I’m deciding to start blogging again … coincidence? We’ll from the looks of it, I’ve been absent for nearly six months, so where have I been and what have I been doing in that time? Well, I’ve celebrated another birthday, got married on our anniversary, honeymooned in Ft. [...]

You scored as alternative. You’re partially respected for being an individual in a conformist world yet others take you as a radical. You have no place in society because you choose not to belong there - you’re the luckiest of them all, even if your parents are completely ashamed of you. Just don’t take drugs [...]

I’m thankful for the millions of Americans that involved themselves this year in our democracy like never before, to stand up against the outrageous excesses of the Bush Administration. Although we apparently didn’t succeed in toppling his regime peacefully via the ballot box. I cling to the hope that reason and logic will eventually prevail [...]

Last I night I scored a great deal on an iSight camera at CompUSA. Charlie and I also stopped by the used CD store at his request, and we picked up Green Day’s “Nimrod”, and I found Nitzer Ebb’s “Belief”. I had to listen to it before deciding to purchase it, since I recalled the [...]

OK fellow BLOGGERS, we need to attack the radical right wingers, and their constant attempts to tinker with the constitution of the United States of America. First and foremost, Mr. Bush himself. When he’s sworn in as the next President of the United States, he will be taking the oath of office, hand placed neatly [...]

I changed my hosting provider over the weekend, and in the process, upgraded my Movabletype installation, and decided to use a different guestbook.
All in all the move was pretty painless, and a side benefit is that the new utilities are awesome, and one of my favorite OSX applications (kung-log now called ecto) works again!

Speaking on the issue of Senator Kerry in last nights debate, mentioning the fact that Mary Cheney (the daughter of VP Dick Cheney) is a lesbian, and was born that way… Andrew Sullivan wrote
“I keep getting emails asserting that Kerry’s mentioning of Mary Cheney is somehow offensive or gratuitous or a “low blow”. Huh? Mary [...]

Quoting Andrew Sullivan (Openly Gay GOP Commentator) -
“My own view is that Bush’s critical problem is the last year in Iraq -
and his arrogant, Pollyannish response to it. What happened Thursday was that for
the first time, the public saw the president confronted with these issues directly
and saw that he had no real answer. Worse, they [...]
